More specifically, Torrent Private Limited spearheads the Group’s investments in different investee companies, which are managed by their respective Board of Directors and professional CEOs. The Company also acts as the catalyst and developer of new ventures by providing the financial, strategic and managerial muscle necessary. The latest initiative in this direction is the 1100 MW SUGEN Combined Cycle Power Plant at Akhakol, near Surat. Another important responsibility of the Company is the promotion of a consistent corporate identity of the Torrent Group.
