project near Surat. The world's best and latest
gas turbine technology would form an integral part
of the TPGL plant.

Torrent Power Generation Limited
(TPGL) brings to the fore, Torrent Group's ambitious
plans in the power sector. TPGL is a Special Purpose
Vehicle promoted by Torrent Group for developing
and implementing a 1095 MW combined cycle mega power
project near Surat. This project would be based
on natural gas, acknowledged as the most eco-friendly
fuel for thermal power generation. The world's best
and latest gas turbine technology would form an
integral part of the TPGL plant. This project is
slated to be completed by the middle of 2007. TPGL
is envisioned to meet entire power requirements
of Surat and part requirements of Ahmedabad. In
addition, around 25% of the capacity of the plant
is reserved for inter state sales. |
